There have been numerous meetings since last Autumn of residents in the village to discuss the planning application that we have received for up to 110 houses, office and car park to be built on the field which backs onto home in Mill Lane. This is something we have been talking about as a village since just before Christmas and has now finally come to fruition with a reference of DC/26/0377/OUT - this should be used in any response.

It is now more importantly than ever, time to pull together as a village. An extension has been requested and we now have until 23rd July to respond. We therefore must come together and help each other produce quality points to be heard in a timely manner to meet the tight deadline we have been given. A residents meeting was held on Wednesday 8th July to provide guidance on what should be added to responses to ensure it gives weight to our arguments. The meeting initially summarised comments and concerns from previous meetings, subsequent discussions with councillors and scrutiny from professionals that work in the fields that surround planning, building and infrastructure. Then followed more detail regarding the need to supply evidence in responses.
A drop-in session will be held in The Village Hall on Saturday 18th July between 10 and 12 in the morning for anyone requiring assistance with their response.
Please talk to those you know and encourage them to respond; they don’t have to live in village but will help strengthen our case.
